Mike’s hand drifted across the step he was sitting on, and dust caked his finger pads instantly—only confirming the problem at hand. He sniffed at it, indignant and attempting to wave it off as he pulled his knees closer to his chest. The feeling of dust against his skin was an undesirable one.
